Slothful Monday

Hey everybody! Being that it's Monday, I'm sure everyone could probably use some cheering up. If this describes you, watch this and I'll guarantee you'll crack a smile at least once.  Unless you're the Grinch, who's heart was two sizes two small and didn't laugh or smile at anything, but we won't worry about him for now.  :)

And now for some extra fun...

I don't know about you but that song is actually a bit catchy. Hope ya liked it :) Happy Monday!

Awkward and Awesome Saturday!!

Awkward:

  • The fact that Blogger keeps displaying this post in some cursive handwriting instead of the all caps it normally displays it in. So if you're reading this right now in cursive letters, I apologize. Not my doing.
  • Wondering why I was the 1 of 2 people on the fifth floor of the library, then realizing it's a Friday night and everyone else has a life.
  • Walking through the grocery store balancing three cartons of Greek yogurt in my arms (see yesterday's post).
  • Eating an entire carton of Greek yogurt in one day (once again, see yesterday's post).
  • Washing my hands a bajilion times trying to get rid of the onion smell from cooking fajitas. . . and yet still going to bed with onion smelling hands.
  • The fact that my laundry has been sitting down in the laundry room for a week now waiting to be folded.
  • Trying to take a quiet sip of water in the library only to find myself moments later in a coughing attack because the water went down the wrong pipe.
  • Showing up at my spinning class (which no, is not a class where you stand and spin in circles - it's like an indoor cycling class on stationary bikes) wearing an exercise top, padded shorts, and wool dress socks. Needless to say I cycled barefoot that day.
  • The number of Gilmore Girls episodes that are watched at this apartment each week everyday.
Awesome:
  • Finishing my Bio Organic Chemistry homework four whole days before it was due.
  • Finally cooking a real meal here at college, and planing on making another one today.
  • Seeing my momma and brother for about an hour and getting to have lunch with them.
  • Getting all the leftovers from that lunch.  :)
  • Registering to take American Sign Language this summer semester. I'm so excited to learn!
  • Finalizing the place where I'm going to live next year. Talk about a stressful couple of weeks. But it's over now!

I Have an Addiction...and It's Bad.

If I ever become obese, this greek yogurt will be the convict. You'd think I would get sick of this stuff after the first couple gazillion containers I've eaten.

Yeah...that hasn't happened yet.

Happy Saturday!

If this isn't the definition of awkward and awesome at the same time, I don't know what is.   :)
Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you're as happy as this family is!
P.S. When I have a family, we are definitely doing this.

Love Languages

I'm sure by now you've heard of the 5 Love Languages, but if not, they are:

1. Quality Time
2. Words of Affirmation
3. Acts of Service
4. Physical Touch
5. Receiving Gifts

Basically different people respond to these five in different ways, and the theory is that if you meet someone that speaks the same love language as you, you're more compatible to each other.

So of course my roommates decided to take the online quiz to find out which language we spoke. Before taking it, my guess was that my top two were quality time and physical touch because I have always been drawn to physical affection from others and I love just being in their presence. I also knew that receiving gifts and words of affirmation would most likely be at the bottom of the list because in both these cases, I feel bad when I receive a gift or kind words from someone because I didn't think to give them a gift or say the sweet thing that they said. Obviously I felt the same way, but that just wasn't the way I expressed it.

After taking the quiz, my number #1 love language was physical touch with quality time in a close second. Acts of service came third with words of affirmation as fourth and receiving gifts as last. Haha looks like I didn't need the quiz to tell me what I liked.

Take the quiz yourself (click here) and post your results in the comments below!
